This ‘Train the Trainer’ CPD Event is of immense value to trainers who are looking at delivering the HABC Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (QCF) and/or the HABC Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely (QCF)*. It is also beneficial to trainers who already deliver the Manual Handling qualifications. The emphasis of the course is on practical information.
The course content supports both the qualifications and includes:
Load
- Safe manual handling
- Manual handling assessments
- Applications of safe and efficient manual handling
People
- Health and dignity issues
- Personal handling plans and risk assessment
- Equipment requirements for practical assessment
The Trainer: Martin Wordsworth:
Martin served as the Training Centre Manager for the South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and has also lectured in Management Studies and Health and Safety at Dearne Valley College. Martin has been involved in training health and safety subjects for over 10 years and has written numerous well-known health and safety training materials.
An HABC CPD certificate will be presented to all candidates who attend the event.
* Please note, attendance on the CPD events does not automatically approve trainers to deliver the qualifications. Minimum criteria as stated in the qualification specification must still be met.
